The largest ever probiotic study with pregnant mums and newborn babies

Following extensive research into understanding the developing infant gut, Lab4B probiotics were isolated and given rare authorisation for use in trials with pregnant mums and newborn babies.

Two papers were published following the largest ever study with pregnant mums and newborn babies, which spanned five years and more than 450 mother-baby pairs.

Lab4B also comprises four strains of live bacteria – two of the Lab4 strains [Bifidobacterium bifidum CUL20 and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis CUL34] and two Lactobacillus strains naturally found in the developing infant gut [Lactobacillus salivarius CUL61 and Lactobacillus paracasei CUL08].
